This is a treat of a smoothie with hints of Mexican Chocolate from the Magic Mushroom blend. I prefer Ancient Nutrition Vanilla Bone Broth Protein, which is available in my Wellevate Store.* If you want it extra chocolate, use Ancient Nutrition Chocolate Bone Broth Protein rather than vanilla, but sometimes I like a milder flavor. It is full of healthy fats, omega 3’s protein, fiber and probiotics from the kefir and is quick to make! You could also sub with the OM Master Mushroom Blend + Chocolate Bone Broth Protein and give it a dash of cinnamon or a drop of dōTERRA Cassia essential oil from the culinary collection.
If you prefer vegan, the Q Sciences EQ Protein is pea based and comes in vanilla and chocolate as well. They come in little packets to throw in a lunch bag or purse which is helpful. They are full of vitamins and digestive enzymes and are only 175 calories so can help to fill nutritional gaps. If you struggle with legumes like I do (I have an inflammatory response) then go with the bone broth protein. It is immensely gut healing as well.
I have really taken to smoothies to break my fast of late… a habit I picked up at the end of the homeschool year because I was a bit stressed and fried from emotional gymnastics… so I could make up a smoothie to feed my nutritional needs and break my fast but still be comfortable enough to get in workout, whether it be a run or kettlebells. Let me know what you think!
